The Adventures of a Lazy Researcher

A short about meeeeee

As the heading states, I'm a lazy researcher aka the_lr. This site is a space to catalogue some of assignments for class that inspired it. Hopefully it won't gather rust like the other projects sitting around on my shelf of things, oh the joys of ADHD! I've been within the realm of technology for decades now. The first computer I ever laid hands on was a an old IBM workstation for speech therapy class, practicing typing and playing games with my therapist that helped me adapt to my disability. An experience I would credit to my avid love of technology over the years.

Something I've come to realize, is that it's actually really hard to make a personal space. How do I stylize it? What works? What doesn't work? How do I work through the anxiety of posting something up on the internet that's representative of me, that can be viewed as a meh place? It's hard coping with that fear and anxiety of the "what if?" So this is my space to cope with that general anxiery in life.

An index of interesting projects:

  • 1773262793: A simple clock

  • This is a short blog about the clock that's currently running below the menu of this page.

  • 1772046427: Anderson Supply Co, the great warranty

  • This is a subversive website that might get migrated to its own domain xD Hot Dog Time can be triggered and persists to select pages. It might be worth to delve further into abusing localStorage permissions for fun and profit.

  • 1769447742: Dreamcaching (week 1/2)

  • This is the first assignment for my Javascript class. It's essentially a garbage can of an attempt that's now been neglected in disrepair. It covers my goals for the year ahead!

About the content of the site:

  • EXIF has been stripped from the images by taking screenshots of the originals at non-standard dimensions. I'm looking at you Apple with your Run Time Since Power Up.
  • Whois registration records have been redacted by the Namehosting service. At the moment this is Cloudflare - which has its own major issues - and it will hopefully be remedied in the coming weeks.
  • Robots.txt hasn't been generated so that search providers are unlikely to index the contained works of the site.

To be hopefully handled:

  • Finish the rest of the main tabs!!!!!!!!!
